Working Supervisor (Carpentry Bias) Short-Term Cover
Location: Newbury, UK
Duration: 2–4 Week’s
Pay: Negotiable upon experience
Start: Immediate
We’re seeking an experienced Working Supervisor with a strong carpentry background to support a short-term refurbishment of a public house in the Newbury area.
Role Overview:
* Lead and coordinate a small site team, ensuring smooth workflow and progress
* Perform skilled carpentry tasks as part of day-to-day work alongside the team
* Maintain quality standards and ensure health & safety compliance
* Liaise with contractors and site managers to meet project milestones
* Solve on-site issues proactively and manage resources effectively
Requirements:
* SSSTS certification
* Carpentry experience
* Trade qualifications, preferably NVQ 3 (carpentry).
* Comfortable working both on the tools and in a leadership role
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
