Working Site Manager - Fast Track Refurbishment, Retail & Restaurant Fit Out Main Contractor Refurbishment / Interior Fit Out  Wakefield, Leeds Freelance / Temporary Role 6 weeks approx The Company Our client is a successful construction principle contractor who work nationally from their multiple offices across the country. They are looking to appoint a Working Site Manager to manage a fast track project fitting out a fast food retail outlet in the Wakefield area. Their success has led to a sharp increase in turnover.  The Company has the aim to continue with their growth over the coming financial year.s They have developed an excellent reputation for themselves in market sectors including: Hotel, Retail, Leisure and Public Houses. They are an entirely relationship driven business and pride themselves on the fact that over 70% of their workload is negotiated with existing clients that they have built relationships with. The Working Site Manager Role This role could is suitable for an individual who is looking to work in a more dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be expected to execute the designated role to the agreed programme, in line with Health, Safety and Environmental standards expected by the client and company. The position will be managing of a site in Wakefield that will run for a approximately 6 weeks. The project is the fast track interior fit out of a fast food retail outlet. It is expected that the successful applicant will be capable of running the project on a day to day basis with the assistance of a visiting Contracts Manager. As the Working Site Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of the project from inception to completion. Responsibilities include: Managing the project on site Managing the build program Some inductions if required Managing Health and Safety Working closely with all sub-contractors to ensure projects finish on time. Liaising on all levels to ensure effective communication is always maintained. The ideal candidate will have previously managed fast track interior fit out or refurbishment sites within the construction and refurbishment sectors in the leisure and hospitality sectors, this is beneficial.   As the Working Site Manager, you will be required to be a self-motivated individual who is autonomous in your role, whilst being able to drive subcontractors. It is essential that you hold SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS Black or Gold Card, Asbestos Awareness and First Aid certificates.  This is a hands on working site manager role where the successful candidate will be expected to work on the tools and be hands on, a joinery background would be beneficial. The project will commence on the 11th September 2025 and run for a minimum of 6 weeks with the opportunity of a similar follow on project in Sheffield city centre that will also run for 6-8 weeks. Remuneration: Dependent upon experience, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn up to £250 per day DOE.
