Chemical manufacturer currently recruiting for a Works Chemist, temporary contract, starting ASAP with a competitive salary.
Location: Northamptonshire
Position Type: Contract until Feb 2026
Salary: Up to £30,000
A specialist manufacturer of chemicals based in Northamptonshire are currently recruiting for a temporary Works Chemist with the contract finishing February 2026. The company develop next-generation sealers and lacquers. This is a great opportunity to gain some great experience within the chemicals/materials sector. This role is starting ASAP with a salary of up to £30K depending on experience.
Role:
Work independently within a small, dynamic team,
Help with new product development and reformulating existing products
Assist with technical support activities
Conduct QC and evaluation tests
Maintain accurate records of test results
Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges
Assist with scale up to productionPerson:
Recent degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent laboratory experience.
Strong practical laboratory skills.
Excellent organisational and documentation abilities.
