Our client is a specialist in the nut processing industry, operating a busy and dynamic manufacturing facility in the Dudley area. Due to the nature of the work environment, this role is not suitable for individuals with nut allergies.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Works Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong engineering background and welding qualifications, looking for flexible hours in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair and maintain bespoke machinery across 10 production lines.
Service and maintain ancillary equipment including weighing machines and mixers.
Carry out general factory repairs and modifications as needed.
Ensure all maintenance work is documented accurately and in line with company procedures.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Basic engineering qualifications (mechanical or electrical).
Valid welding qualifications (MIG/TIG preferred).
Experience in machinery maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Must not have a nut allergy due to the working environment.
