Works Manager
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Salary: £50,000 per annum (DOE)
We are delighted to be partnering with a long-established, family-run manufacturing business specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of industrial steam generators and heat exchange systems.
Due to continued growth and investment, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Works Manager to lead their production operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven leader to take ownership of the day-to-day production function, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and the continued development of a highly skilled team.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead, support and develop the production team to deliver against key objectives.
* Ensure production processes consistently meet quality, health & safety, and compliance standards.
* Promote and uphold a strong safety-first culture across the shop floor—ensuring use of PPE and full adherence to H&S policies.
* Conduct regular team briefings and toolbox talks to maintain open communication and alignment.
* Liaise effectively with other departments, external inspectors, and regulatory bodies as needed.
* Attend contract review meetings and contribute technical input where required.
* Oversee the full lifecycle of documentation (Document Pack / Life Time Records) to meet customer and compliance requirements.
* Champion continuous improvement across production and ensure best practices are adopted.
What We’re Looking For
* A strong engineering background—ideally in mechanical, electrical, or structural engineering.
* A natural leader who can engage, motivate, and develop a diverse production team.
* IOSH or NEBOSH qualified
* Solid understanding of welding standards including BS EN ISO 9606-1, BS EN ISO (phone number removed), and BS EN ISO (phone number removed).
* Hands-on experience in managing production within a technical manufacturing environment.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to balance cost, quality, and delivery performance.
* Confident with MS Office and production documentation systems.
* Equally comfortable in the office and on the shop floor—leading by example.
