Job Role: Workshop Auto-Electrician
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £36,000-£38,000 base salary + overtime @ 1.5X (OTE £45,000+ per annum)
Hours: 7:00-16:30 Monday to Friday / Flexible hours available
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
The package:
Pay review after 6-month probation period to increase to up to £41,000 per annum base salary
25 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays
Overtime readily available and paid at 1.5x / 2x on Sundays if available

The Responsibilities:
Build and test wiring looms and chassis mounts for an array of automotive machinery, including road sweepers, gritters and spreaders.
Diagnose and fault-find complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.
Read and interpret detailed electrical drawings and schematics to assist with fault-finding and testing of electrical systems.
Assist with the service and refurbishment of heavy automotive machinery.
Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting
The Requirements:
Previous experience working in the Plant, Automotive, HGV or Agricultural industry (essential)
Previous experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (essential)
Proven experience to read electrical diagrams and schematics, with strong electrical fault-finding capabilities (essential)
Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
Full UK Drivers License
