Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Perform any and all maintenance, repair, new build or refurbishment work on all makes and models of volumetric mixers as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. More specifically, this person will: * Perform service and maintenance work on all makes and models of volumetric concrete mixers. * Develop and maintain technical expertise in the service, repair, maintenance and operation of volumetric mixers and their relevant systems. * Occasional travel to customer sites as needed to perform service work on customer equipment. * Occasional out of hours work as needed. * Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used. * Develop skills and expertise to perform work to the highest quality standards QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE: * Previous experience as an engineer working with heavy equipment such as CAT, JCB, John Deere or Komatsu preferred while other relevant experience will be considered * Strong electrical fault finding * Knowledge of hydraulics and welding PREFFERED SKILLS: * MIG welding. * Hydraulic system diagnostics, repair and maintenance. * Electrical system diagnostics, repair and maintenance. * Mechanical experience with heavy plant or HGV. * Pneumatic system diagnostics, repair and maintenance. While performing the duties of this position, the employee: * Must be able to frequently stoop/bend. * Must be able to regularly use hands and arms. * Must be able to regularly stand and walk. * Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 kgs. * Must be able to work up to 5 meters feet off the ground, to work inside of bins on units, to climb ladders on occasion. * Must be able to work outdoors up to 100% of the workday. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
