Workshop Engineer – Plant Equipment
Swadlincote
Salary: £17 – £22 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Hours: 45 hours per week + OT available

NEOS engineering are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Engineer to join our client's close-knit team of engineers at their Swadlincote depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong plant or heavy equipment background who is looking to take ownership of workshop-based repairs while also supporting occasional site work during peak periods.
The Role:
Manage and carry out workshop repairs and maintenance on a range of plant machinery
Coordinate parts in and out, working closely with the office team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Assist mobile engineers as a second man when required
Maintain workshop organisation, cleanliness, and efficiency
Uphold high standards of health and safety at all times
Requirements:
Experience in the plant or heavy equipment sector is preferred
Qualifications are not essential – we value hands-on experience and time served in the industry
Must be a team player with the ability to take initiative
Willingness to support site work as needed
Good communication skills, especially when liaising with office staff
What We Offer:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience (£17–£22 per hour)
45-hour work week
