The role would suit applicants with strong practical skills, a problem-solving attitude, and the ability to work from mechanical and electrical engineering diagrams. Applicants with plumbing experience, basic electrical knowledge, or multi-skilled backgrounds will have a considerable advantage and are encouraged to apply.
Working within the workshop, you will assemble, manufacture, and test new plant items and sub-assemblies, build both standard and custom products, and occasionally assist with site installations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term engineering career in a growing business.
The Role:
·Assemble, manufacture, and test new plant items and sub-assemblies.
·Read and work from mechanical and electrical engineering diagrams.
·Build standard AWT products and support custom build projects.
·Assist with mechanical and electrical installations on customer sites.
·Support general building and workshop maintenance.
·Assist the service team with installations, build, and service work.
·Maintain high standards of customer care during all site activities.
·Follow Health & Safety policies and maintain a clean, organised workshop.
·Continue developing skills and technical knowledge through hands-on work.
The Person:
·Strong practical skills with a problem-solving approach.
·Multi-skilled – ideally with plumbing experience and basic electrical understanding.
·Meticulous, well-organised, and detail-focused.
·Willing to travel for occasional site work.
·Full UK driving licence.
