Job Description
With several sites across the Midlands, South West and South East, our client is a leading plant and equipment hire company for the construction industry with products including attachments and hydraulic equipment. Due to expansion, they are now looking for a Workshop Manager with experience in plant/equipment industry to manage a small team of 6 in their London depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overseeing installation, maintenance, and minor repair of various attachments as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of 6 individuals
* Oversee daily preparations of attachments ensuring items tested and fit for purpose
* Ensure routine maintenance on machinery and equipment inspections are completed
* Provide Hiredesk with list of fleet numbers of collections in the morning for previous day
* Follow and enforce safety protocols when operating machinery.
* Maintain and enforce health and safety procedures
* Hold weekly tool box talks
* Making sure all targets & deadlines are achieved.
The Candidate:
* You will be an experienced Workshop manager with experience in the plant/tool hire industry
* Ability to work independently and efficiently in order to meet deadlines.
* Must be hands on and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficientlyBefore You Apply
