Workshop Manager £54,000 - £56,000 + Company Vehicle + Progression + Excellent Company Benefits Enfield (Commutable from: Hertford, Cheshunt, Harlow, Waltham Cross, Broxbourne, Barnet, Hatfield, North London, Stevenage, Loughton) Are you an experienced Workshop Supervisor or Manager looking to step into a hands-on leadership role with a well-established and growing company?Do you want to take ownership of a busy workshop and yard team, driving efficiency, safety, and fleet performance? On offer is a stable, long-term opportunity where you will be supported with ongoing training, work with a close-knit team, and play a key role in shaping workshop operations. This company are a respected player in the powered access and plant hire industry, providing machinery such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, excavators, and dumpers to a wide range of customers. Due to growth, they are looking for a Workshop Manager to ensure their fleet is maintained to the highest standards and operations run smoothly. This is a Monday-Friday role managing a workshop team of supervisors, engineers, fitters, and yard staff. You will oversee machinery service schedules, off-hire inspections, repairs, and yard movements, while ensuring health & safety compliance and efficiency across the site. This role would suit a Workshop Manager or Supervisor with strong technical knowledge, CAP or IPAF qualifications, and proven team leadership skills, looking for a secure position with clear responsibility and influence. The Role. Manage and lead the workshop and yard teams (supervisors, fitters, engineers) Oversee inspection, servicing, and repair of off-hire machinery (scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, dumpers, excavators) Maintain fleet service schedules, LOLER records, and compliance with SSOW Manage stock, order parts, and keep tight control of costs Carry out monthly H&S walkarounds and ensure training is up to date Drive efficiency and support staff development The Candidate.
