Workshop Repair Technician – Medical Devices
Location: Runcorn, Cheshire
Employment Type: Onsite – Full-Time
Salary: Up to £35,000
We are seeking a Repair Technician to join our Service Centre team in Runcorn. In this role, you will work directly on medical devices, repairing and maintaining equipment that plays a vital role in patient care. This hands-on position involves fault finding, component replacement, and working with circuit boards to ensure equipment is restored to the highest standard.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled individual who takes pride in precision and is motivated to make an impact in healthcare.
Responsibilities:
* Repair and service medical devices to ensure safe and reliable performance.
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs at the component and circuit board level.
* Apply technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in a responsive workshop environment.
* Maintain accurate records of repair work in line with compliance standards.
* Collaborate closely with the Service Centre team to meet operational goals.
* Consistently deliver high-quality work to support life-changing medical technology.
About You:
* Recognised qualification in electronics (e.g., HNC or equivalent).
* Experience or strong interest in working with circuit boards and component-level repair.
* Self-motivated with a positive “can do” attitude.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* A team player with clear communication skills.
* Advantageous: experience in fault finding on electronic or medical equipment (full training provided if required).
