Job Description
Workshop Supervisor Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + overtime
Hours: Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:30 (40 hours per week)
Location: Peterborough
We are looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead a team of six skilled staff within our busy engineering and workshop environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills who enjoys being hands-on, while also interacting with clients and occasionally suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and motivate a team of six, ensuring productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Oversee day-to-day workshop operations, including engineering and paint spraying functions.
Act as the main point of contact for clients and liaise with suppliers when required.
Ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards and within set deadlines.
Manage resources, scheduling, and workload distribution effectively.
Deliver daily activity briefings and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Maintain plant, equipment, and workshop facilities to high standards.
Report regularly on progress to senior management.Skills & Experience
Strong leadership and people management experience.
Excellent communication skills – confident liaising with both team members and external stakeholders.
Ability to balance process-driven operations with problem-solving and innovation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
Technical or leadership qualifications are advantageous.What We Offer
