Job Description
Handley James are currently working with a specialist manufacturer and installer or capital equipment. This organisation has a fantastic reputation and is currently experiencing a growth trajectory with an extremely strong order book. As a result of this they are now looking to recruit an Engineering Workshop Team Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proven and now looking to progress and develop their career further.
The Engineering Workshop Team Lead and manage the Assembly Workshop, ensuring the delivery of high-quality fabrication services for both new and existing plant and equipment. This role requires supervising and supporting the Assembly Teams, Operation Support Specialists, and relevant trainees, ensuring efficient production processes and maintained and adhered to.
You will be responsible for:
* Overseeing daily operations.
* Plan and organise manufacturing operations, forecast work, and schedule production activities.
* Managing people activity such as holidays etc.
* Ensuring that the team adheres to the production schedule.
* People management and development, actively fostering a company culture that aligns with the organisation’s core values.
* Completing mechanical installations within the Assembly Workshop.
* Compliance with H&S and ensuring a safe working environment.
Currently a Workshop Team Leader or Supervisor. You will be a self-starter and have a very hands on approach and be able to lead a team. You will be familiar with mechanical fitting and either repair and refurb or building of new equipment and be able to red engineering drawings.
