Job Description
P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting a Workshop Technician to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.
Role Summary:
This company is looking for a hands-on Workshop Technician to join their bust and growing team. This role will be ideal for someone with 5+ years’ experience in a workshop or a similar environment and who is confident handling tools and equipment and is ready to take control of their workshop.
Main Responsibilities:
* Receiving, inspection and storage of equipment and tools.
* Carry out preparation, maintenance and testing of tools and machinery for offshore deployment.
* Perform repairs and ensure equipment is ready and compliant for hire or sale.
* Coordinate and support order packing, picking and dispatch processes in the warehouse.
* Assist with inventory management, stock rotation and quality control.
* Maintain workshop cleanliness, safety standards and equipment upkeep.
* Load and deliver equipment to local clients using company vehicles.
* Work closely with the workshop trainee, warehouse supervisor and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Person Specification:
* Practical knowledge of handling and maintaining industrial tools or equipment.
* Computer literate.
* Experience in a workshop, or similar industrial environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
* Good communication skills and a positive, problem-solving attitude.
* Full UK Driving License.
* Forklift License. (Desirable)
Working Hours:
* Monday – Friday 07:45 – 16:30 (45-minute lunch break)
