WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN / MACHINIST
Location: Croydon (Surrey / South London borders)
Type: Permanent, Full-Time (36.5 hours per week)
Salary: £31,000 – £41,000 + benefits
Ceto Talent are recruiting for a Workshop Technician / Machinist to join a global engineering company at their Croydon facility.
We’re looking for an experienced machinist from a workshop or manufacturing background, confident in operating machinery such as lathes, drills, and grinding equipment. You’ll also be able to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
The role
Working with products returned from customers, you will:
* Inspect, disassemble, and refurbish components to a high standard
* Operate workshop machinery and hand tools
* Follow engineering drawings and technical instructions
* Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
What we’re looking for
* Proven machining experience in a workshop or manufacturing setting
* Skilled in using lathes, drills, and grinders
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
* A methodical, quality-focused approach
Hours & Benefits
* Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:00
* Friday: 07:00 – 13:30
* Salary: £31,000 – £41,000 (DOE)
