XYZ Turner Programmer or Setter Operator
Location: Keighley, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £18.00 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Day shift)
Holiday: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
🏭 Company Overview
Our client are a well-established engineering company based in Keighley, delivering high-quality, close-tolerance components for a range of industries. We are seeking a skilled XYZ Turner Programmer or Setter Operator to join our clients experienced team.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
* Program, set, and or operate XYZ CNC turning lathes to manufacture precision components
* Interpret technical engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
* Carry out tool setting, offsets, and minor program edits as required
* Conduct in-process inspection using micrometers, verniers, and gauges
* Maintain safe and efficient working practices in line with company standards
* Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and quality targets
✅ Candidate Requirements
* Hands-on experience programming or setting XYZ CNC lathes
* Proficient in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
* Experience with Siemens, Fanuc or similar CNC control systems is advantageous
* Comfortable working with minimal supervision and taking ownership of quality
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-accuracy components
