Job Description
Yard Man / Labourer at Walpole Substation (PE14 7JE)
To assist the site team with the day-to-day upkeep of the welfare facilities including generators and general site housekeeping. Taking of deliveries, and escorting delivery drivers / vehicles along with other tasks as and when requested by the site manager.
Duration--6 month rolling contract on a 2 year project starting on 26/8/25
Job Duties
Arrive for work in a fit and suitable condition Work closely with the site management team to ensure that safe and effective delivery of the project To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively To perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team To comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions
Minimum Qualifications:
Full UK driving licence CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
Desirable:
Previous experience in a substation environment National Grid Persons CPCS Vehicle banksman
Schedule and Work Activities:
50 hours per week, based on 5 x 10 hour days with travel to client offices and sites.
Rate: Inside IR35
£15 per hour Mon – Friday all hours
£18.75 per hour Saturday all hours
£21 per hour Sunday all hoursBefore You Apply
