A leading business in the specialist plant hire sector is looking to appoint a proactive Yard Foreman to oversee the day-to-day running of our busy yard operation in Leeds.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for stock control, ensuring accurate records and efficient processes
*
Oversee Health & Safety within the yard, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards
*
Ensure the safe storage, handling, and movement of equipment and materials
*
Carry out regular checks on equipment, ensuring quality and compliance
*
Operate forklift trucks and supervise yard operations, ensuring smooth workflow
*
Support the depot team to deliver excellent service to customers
Essential Skills & Experience:
*
Previous experience in a yard, depot, or plant hire environment
*
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and compliance requirements
*
A keen eye for detail and highly organised approach to work
*
Valid forklift licence (essential)
*
Ability to work proactively and lead by example
