Yard Operative / FLT Driver
Location: Ashford, Kent
Salary: £13.50 per hour + Paid Holiday + Pension
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
A leading specialist construction engineering subcontractor is seeking an experienced Yard Operative / FLT Driver to join their team in Ashford.
Role Overview:
You’ll be responsible for managing materials in and out of the yard, ensuring smooth and efficient handling of all construction products and components. The role also includes operating a band saw to cut metalwork and timber as required for ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading construction materials using a forklift
*
Organising, storing, and tracking stock and deliveries
*
Cutting metal and timber to specification using a band saw
*
Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient yard environment
*
Supporting site and workshop operations as needed
Requirements:
*
Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence with proven experience
*
Competent in using a band saw for metal and wood cutting
*
Good attention to detail and safety awareness
*
Reliable, hard-working, and team-oriented
