Yard Operative / General Site Assistant
Brixworth, Northamptonshire
£13.00 per hour
Monday to Friday - 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
ACS Staffing Solutions are looking for a reliable and proactive person to join our client's team as a Yard Operative / General Site Assistant in Brixworth. This is a hands-on, varied role supporting the day-to-day operations of the site, including machinery handling, site maintenance, and logistics support.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and wider site areas
Load and unload machinery from lorries and trailers safely
Clean and paint machinery to a high standard
Accurately complete administration for all inbound and outbound deliveries
Assist engineers with tasks and general support
Carry out basic building maintenance as required
Refuel and defuel machinery in line with safety procedures
Deliver and collect machinery parts and items locally
Report hazards, near misses, and incidents in accordance with company policy
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures
Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the manager
Requirements:
Full clean UK driving licence (Essential)
Forklift Truck (FLT) licence (Desirable)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail, particularly with documentation
Reliable, punctual and willing to work in all weather conditions
