Yard Operative - Selby, York
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid break)
Contract: Temp to Perm
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative based in the Selby, York area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to join a friendly, hardworking team with the potential for a permanent position.
Main Duties of a Yard Operative
Sorting recyclable materials such as metal, plastic, and wood (no food waste)
Working on a picking line, separating materials into chutes
General yard duties and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
Supporting team members to ensure efficient waste processing
Requirements
Reliable, hardworking, and willing to get stuck in
Comfortable with manual labour and working outdoors
Must have own transport (site not accessible by public transport)
No previous experience required - full training provided
Shift & Overtime
Monday to Friday: 8am - 5pm (1-hour unpaid break)
Occasional Saturday overtime (approximately one per month)
