The Role:
As a Yard Operative, you will work closely with the Yard Manager to assist in all aspects of yard operations. Your primary goal will be to help maintain an efficient, safe, and organised working environment while ensuring adherence to all Health & Safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support in the manufacturing of products
* Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
* Operate plant and machinery (where certified)
* Assist in ensuring all site activities are completed on time, on budget, and to a high standard
* Maintain site cleanliness, order, and safety at all times
* Follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
* Proactively contribute to problem-solving and site efficiency
* Communicate effectively with yard teams, supervisors, and project managers
* Support the yard manager in daily operations

* Awareness of health & safety procedures and legislation
* Willingness to take direction and work independently when required
* A strong work ethic and attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Valid plant operation certifications (desirable, not essential)
