Job Description
We are looking for a Yard Operative for a leading hire company to be based in the yard and able to assist by driving the company vans if required. Overtime and weekends available.
Yard Operative
The company provides hire services to the construction and event industries. Products hired include portaloos, luxury trailer units, welfare cabins, canteens and stores. They also provide a range of services to empty and clean toilets whilst on hire and re-stock any consumables required.
Duties
* Comply with all H&S requirements and maintain high level of housekeeping
* Ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient and polite manner
* Goods in/out – using appropriate methods and machinery to unload and dispatch goods Keeping all plant and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues or faults as required
* Maintain high levels of vigilance to secure site and protect assets
* Carry out servicing duties for each portaloo or welfare unit
* Provide any ad-hoc support and carry out any ad-hoc tasks as may be necessary
Skills
* Clean driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years
* Physically fit and able to drive and work on their own initiative throughout the day
* Good communication skills to interact with customers and co-workers
* Prepared to occasionally work overtime or at weekends to meet customer demandBefore You Apply
