Yard Operative
Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm, alternate Saturdays: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Salary: £32,000 – £34,000
A proactive and reliable Yard Operative is required for a busy West Hampstead branch. This hands-on position is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, physically active environment and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. The role involves supporting both yard and store operations, ensuring efficient stock management and a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Replenish and organise stock in the yard and store areas
*
Assist customers with loading, product advice, and paint mixing (training provided)
*
Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment in all work areas
*
Carry out regular equipment checks and report any issues promptly
*
Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
*
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations
*
Undertake manual handling tasks and general maintenance as required
Requirements:
*
A valid counterbalance forklift license (essential)
*
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
*
Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, and physically demanding environment
*
Strong communication and customer service skills
*
Good understanding of health and safety regulations
*
