Job Description
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Yard Operative to join our busy builders merchant in the Bootle/Kirkby area. This is a hands-on role working under the General Manager, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the yard and assisting our site teams when required.
Location: Bootle / Kirkby
Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 (DOE)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:

Safely moving, loading, and unloading building materials.
*
Assisting colleagues on site with deliveries and general duties.
*
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment.
*
Ensuring stock is stored correctly and easy to access.
*
Supporting the General Manager and wider team as needed.
*
Potential shift work (days and evenings).
Skills & Experience:
*
Previous experience in a builders merchant, yard, or similar environment preferred.
*
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
*
A team player with a “can-do” attitude.
*
Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
*
Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
