Position Details:
Job Title: Yard Operative/Saw Operator
Location: East London
Working Pattern: Full Time (Monday to Friday, 7 am - 4 pm)
Annual Salary: £26,520 - £30,000 - dependant on experienceWhat You'll Do:
As our Saw Operator, Wood Machinist, you will be at the heart of our production process. Your responsibilities will include:
Setting up and operating various sawing machines, including band saws, circular saws, and multi-rip saws, as well as moulders and spindles.
Measuring and cutting wood to precise specifications using a variety of measuring tools.
Maintaining sawing equipment and performing minor repairs as needed.
Working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team to meet production goals.
Adhering to all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications We're Looking For:
1-2 years of experience in sawing or woodworking is preferred.
Full training will be given
Strong math and problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on.
A meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
Commitment to following safety procedures and regulations. Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a noisy environment.
