Job Description
We're looking for a talented Yard Operative with FLT licence to work for our client in Glasgow.
They want to recruit someone with demonstrable background of previous experience in the field.
If that's you then you could be exactly what they're looking for, even if you've got limited work experience.
The Role:
As the Yard Operative you'll report to the Team Leader and will be primarily responsible for work in a team and work well under pressure and in new environments on a daily basis.
Shifts: 4on-4off, 7am- 7pm
Key responsibilities:
Operating the FLT
Yard marshalling & weighbridge
Transporting materials within the facility
Operating bailer Machine (training will be provided)
Perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
Industrial cleaning (using broom & shovel)
Ensure all required correct PPE is worn at all times and adhere to the policies
Carry out operator duties regarding machine running for optimum performance and availability.
Collect waste material from the process lines and load them into skips or vehicles
Requirements:
- FLT licence
- A good level of spoken and written English
- Reliability and punctuality
- UK right to work
In addition, you'll need the following:
- Keen and eager to learn new skills
- Good team working skills and good communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Previous experience within a waste& recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
