Location: Walsall
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Join a Leading Manufacturing & Construction Business in Walsall as a yard + stores operaetive.
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Yard & Stores operative Factory All-Rounder to support our busy operations in Walsall. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for stable, full-time work with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
Goods In:
* Unload deliveries using a counterbalance forklift
* Organise and put away incoming materials
Goods Out:
* Pack bolts and kits for dispatch to site installation teams
* Prepare and load deliveries for van transport
Assembly & Production Support:
* Assist in assembling large metal and steel structures
* Operate a steel bandsaw for cutting components
* Support general factory operations as needed
Delivery & Driving:
* Drive company van to deliver goods to construction sites
Skills & Requirements
Mandatory:
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
Desirable:
*
Experience using an overhead crane
Additional Qualities:
* Hands-on and willing to assist across departments
* Basic mechanical aptitude (semi-skilled work)
* Punctual, reliable, and a strong team player
