Salary: £34,000 - £38,000
Location: East Grinstead
Yard Supervisor Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee daily yard operations within a busy construction materials environment. Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage the team to ensure smooth and efficient order processing, stock management, and customer service.
Yard Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage yard staff to meet daily operational targets
Ensure timely picking and accurate processing of all orders
Maintain stock quality and manage stock counts
Collaborate with other departments to support smooth workflows
Adhere to and enforce Health & Safety and operational procedures
Operate sideloader and counterbalance vehicles as needed
Assist with continuous improvement initiativesYard Supervisor Skills and Experience:
Experience in construction materials or related industries
Strong leadership and delegation skills
Excellent customer service focus
Forklift (sideloader & counterbalance) operation experience
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Hands-on approach and willingness to be flexibleYard Supervisor Personal Attributes:
Polite, positive, and approachable
Clean and professional appearance
