Job Description
Our client, a well-established business in the Southeast, is seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee day-to-day yard operations at their busy branch. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with leadership experience in a yard-based environment who is looking to take the next step in their career.

Job type: Full time, permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday on a rotating weekly basis, including some Saturdays
Location: Bexhill
Salary: £34,000p/a

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support the yard team, making sure work is done safely and efficiently
Train staff and give guidance when needed
Provide good customer service for collections and enquiries
Oversee safe loading, unloading, and storage of materials using forklifts or manual handling
Organise daily deliveries and collections, keeping everything on schedule
Check stock levels, report issues, and keep records accurate
Carry out regular equipment checks and follow health & safety rules
Keep the yard clean, tidy, and safe at all times
Work with drivers and the transport team to ensure deliveries run smoothly
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
Experience working in a similar yard role
Previous team leader or supervisor experience with the ability to lead a team with clear communication and organisation
Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance or Sideloader preferred)
Good understanding of health & safety and best practice
Friendly and customer-focused, confident dealing with trade and retail customers
Basic IT or scanner skills for stock control
Physically fit and happy to work outside in all weather conditions
