Location: Ipswich / Suffolk
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days a week
Reports To: Office & Warehouse Manager
About the Company
Our client is a leading provider in the telecoms infrastructure space, known for delivering reliable and scalable solutions across the UK. With growing operations, we are now seeking a proactive and hands-on Yard Team Leader to support the efficient running of their yard operations across three sites in Suffolk.
Role Overview
This role will act as a key support between the Manager and the Yard Operative across three yards. The Yard Team Leader will ensure smooth coordination of stock, fleet, and site logistics while remaining actively hands-on in the day-to-day running of the yards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist and support the intake and organisation of stock across all three yards
Assist in receiving, checking, and documenting deliveries
Support the coordination of the company’s fleet, including organising repairs and maintenance
Build and maintain temporary SLG (Streetworks Lighting & Guarding) setups when required
Ensure the yards are kept tidy, organised, and compliant with H&S procedures
Act as a point of contact between yard staff and the Operations Manager
Occasionally travel between yard sites to ensure consistency and operational flow
Report any stock discrepancies or issues to management in a timely manner
Experience & Requirements
Previous experience working in a yard, depot, or warehouse environment (telecoms/utilities desirable)
Valid UK Driving Licence
Forklift experience
Good organisational and communication skills
Proactive and hands-on approach
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks across multiple sites
Knowledge of stock handling and logistics processesBefore You Apply
