Job Description
We are currently looking to recruit a Yard Team Leader to join this ever-growing team based in Elland – if you have a proven track record in leadership and team work this role is for you!
Working Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
Responsibilities:
·Lead and coordinate the yard team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
·Manage all Goods-In and Goods-Out activities, ensuring deliveries are accurate and on time.
·Maintain a safe working environment by overseeing staff training, reporting incidents, and addressing any safety breaches.
·Conduct daily shift briefings to ensure team alignment and operational efficiency.
·Plan and organise yard layout to maximise space, improve workflow, and ensure safety standards are met.
·Supervise the safe and timely movement of all inbound and outbound vehicles within the yard.
Requirements:
·Proven experience in a Yard Manager or similar leadership role.
·Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
·Results-driven, with a focus on achieving targets and continuous improvement.
·Commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
·Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
·Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
