A friendly primary school in Telford is urgently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with ASD who is non-verbal. This is an immediate start role for someone compassionate, patient, and experienced in supporting children with additional needs.
The Role
Provide one-to-one support for a Year 1 pupil with ASD
Support communication, learning, and social development
Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored strategies
Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
We're Looking For
Experience working with children with ASD or similar additional needs
Skilled in supporting non-verbal pupils (using Makaton, PECs, or similar is desirable)
Patient, compassionate, and flexible
Ability to start immediately
