Year 1 Class Teacher Required

Protocol Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Basildon from January 2027 on a long-term block booking.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to delivering engaging lessons, fostering a love of learning, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

The Role

Full class teaching responsibility for a Year 1 class.
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum.
Creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Assessing and monitoring pupil progress.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
Maintaining high expectations for achievement and behaviour.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
