Smile Education are delighted to be supporting a welcoming and well-regarded mainstream primary school in Wombourne in their search for an experienced Year 1 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible on an ongoing basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher who has strong Key Stage 1 experience and a proven ability to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a mainstream classroom.
The school is known for its supportive leadership team, inclusive ethos, and strong relationships with the local community, creating a positive environment for both staff and pupils.
The Role
Full class teaching responsibility within a Year 1 classroom
Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
Supporting and differentiating learning for pupils with SEND
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEND staff, and parents
Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
The Successful Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Previous experience teaching Key Stage 1 (Year 1 preferred)
Strong experience supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream setting
Good knowledge of phonics and early years literacy development
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A positive, flexible and committed approach to teaching
