Year 1 Teacher - Enfield | September 2025 Start
Location: Enfield, North London
Contract: Full-Time | Maternity Cover (2 terms or up to 1 year)
Start Date: September 2025
Remedy Education is working in partnership with a warm and inclusive primary school in Enfield to recruit a creative and dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in September 2025.
This is a crucial phase in every child's development as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into more structured learning. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring this transition is smooth, engaging, and supportive of both academic and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
Build on EYFS foundations with a strong focus on phonics, early maths, and social development
Create a nurturing and well-managed classroom environment that supports positive behaviour and inclusion
Use assessment effectively to monitor and support pupil progress
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider staff team
Develop strong, professional relationships with parents and carers to support each child's learning journeyThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching in KS1, especially in Year 1
A solid understanding of child development and the Year 1 curriculum
A nurturing, inclusive and creative approach to teaching
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
