Year 1 Teacher -Primary School - Greenwich - September 2025 Start Location: Greenwich, Southeast London Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-time, long-term (with opportunity to go permanent) Salary: MPS (Inner London) - Dependent on experience School Type: 2-Form Entry | Ofsted Rated Good Prospero Teaching is working with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Greenwich that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2025. The school has a strong sense of teamwork and a warm, inclusive environment where both staff and pupils thrive. Theyre looking for a teacher who can bring energy, consistency, and calm behaviour management to the classroom while working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an engaging and nurturing learning experience. About the School: · 2-form entry school with supportive and collaborative teaching teams · Rated Good by Ofsted - with praise for behaviour and leadership · Strong focus on pastoral care and whole-child development · Excellent CPD and mentoring in place for all staff · Inclusive ethos and a positive working environment The Role: · Teaching a lovely Year 1 class with the support of an experienced TA · Planning in partnership with a parallel class teacher · Contributing to a creative and engaging KS1 curriculum · Using strong behaviour strategies to maintain a calm and productive classroom · Playing an active role in staff collaboration and continuous improvement The Ideal Candidate Will: · Hold QTS and have relevant UK classroom experience · Be confident teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1 · Demonstrate strong behaviour management techniques · Be a positive and proactive team player · Be passionate about early learning, phonics, and pupil progress · Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment Prospero Teaching is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
