The role:
As a Year 1 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support transition from EYFS to KS1
*
Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence
*
Using formative assessment to monitor progress and tailor support for individual needs
*
Working closely with teaching assistants, phase colleagues, and subject leaders to ensure high standards
*
Supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development during this key stage
What we’re looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Experience in EYFS or Key Stage 1, ideally within Year 1
*
A secure understanding of early learning goals and the KS1 national curriculum
*
Strong classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and families
*
A reflective, child-centred approach and commitment to continuous professional growth
