An inclusive and welcoming primary school in Gravesend, Kent is seeking a nurturing and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join its Key Stage 1 team from September 2025. About the Role
As the Year 1 Class Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in guiding pupils as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into more structured learning. The school offers a supportive and well-organised environment, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum

The ideal candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1

A secure understanding of early phonics, literacy, and numeracy development

Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young children

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A reflective approach and a commitment to ongoing professional development
