Year 1 Primary Teacher - Maternity Cover - Halifax
Start Date: After October Half Term 2025
Contract Type: Fixed-term Maternity Cover
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding maternity cover role starting after October half term?
Academics Educational Recruitment is working with a friendly, well-established primary school in Halifax to find a confident teacher to cover maternity leave from November 2025.
The Role:
Teach and support a vibrant Year 1 class
Deliver the full primary curriculum with creativity and care
Plan engaging lessons and assess pupil progress
Collaborate with supportive staff to ensure a positive learning environment
We're Looking For:
Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) with experience teaching Year 1 or Early Years
Passionate about child development and learning
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Team player with excellent communication
Enhanced DBS (we can support with getting one in progress)
