The Role – Year 1 Teaching Assistant
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Wandsworth is seeking a nurturing and proactive Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. You will work full-time, from 8:30am to 3:10pm (with a 30-minute lunch break), supporting a lovely boy in Year 1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 basis. You will also be expected to assist more generally within the classroom, working closely with the class teacher.The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of autism and be able to adapt their support to meet the child’s individual needs. A positive attitude, patience and a genuine interest in child development are essential. Experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
