Year 1 Teaching Assistant
Location: South Nottingham
Contract: Full-Time Term-Time Only - Long term supply cover
Start Date: As soon as possible
We are supporting a Primary Academy that is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the supportive and welcoming Year 1 team at a thriving primary school in South Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners, supporting their educational and emotional development during a crucial stage of their learning journey.
Your Role
Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions
Support children's learning in small groups and 1:1, particularly in literacy and numeracy
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in the classroom
Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
Provide feedback to staff and contribute to progress tracking
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Passionate about supporting children's learning and development
Experienced working with children in Key Stage 1 (ideally Year 1)
Patient, nurturing and resilient
A team player with good communication skills
Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification
Has (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check
