In this role, you’ll support children’s academic, emotional, and social development by:
Assisting in the delivery of daily phonics sessions and guided reading groups.
Supporting individuals and small groups in early literacy and numeracy activities.
Helping children adjust to the routines and expectations of Key Stage 1.
Encouraging independence and positive learning behaviours.
Collaborating with the class teacher to adapt learning activities and monitor progress.
Promoting a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.We’d Love to Hear From You If:
You’ve worked in a Year 1 or EYFS/KS1 setting and understand early childhood learning.
You’re familiar with early phonics schemes and strategies.
You’re warm, enthusiastic, and proactive in supporting individual needs.
You have strong communication skills and a nurturing approach.
You hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, ideally grade C/4 or above.
