The Role
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will:

Deliver Inspiring Lessons: Teach the Year 1 curriculum in a fun, accessible, and creative way, helping pupils build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and communication.

Support Transition: Smoothly guide pupils from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1 learning expectations.

Create a Nurturing Space: Establish a positive, inclusive classroom where children feel safe, confident, and motivated to learn.

Track Progress: Use ongoing assessment to identify individual needs, provide targeted support, and ensure all pupils are making good progress.

Work Collaboratively: Plan with other Year 1 colleagues and support staff to deliver a consistent and engaging learning experience.

Enrich School Life: Lead or support extra-curricular clubs, themed weeks, or learning projects that inspire curiosity and creativity.
Who We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): With experience teaching Year 1 or Key Stage 1.

Early Years Understanding: You are confident supporting pupils through the transition from play-based learning to more structured activities.

Skilled Communicator: You work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, building strong, supportive relationships.
