GSL Education Manchester is excited to be working with a welcoming, community-focused primary school in M16, Manchester, as they look to appoint a dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a temp to perm opportunity, offering a fantastic chance to settle into a supportive school environment with the potential for a permanent role.
About the Role:
You’ll be working within a friendly, experienced KS1 team and taking responsibility for an enthusiastic and curious Year 2 class. The school has a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, positive relationships, and providing children with the very best start to their education.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum
Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom where all pupils can reach their potential
Support children in developing essential skills in reading, writing, and mathematics
Monitor and assess progress, adapting learning to meet individual needs
Build positive relationships with colleagues, families, and school leaders
Play an active role in wider school life, enrichment, and events
What We’re Looking For:
A qualified teacher (QTS essential) with experience in KS1 (Year 2 preferred)
Strong classroom management and high expectations for all pupils
A reflective, passionate approach to teaching and learning
A team player ready to contribute positively to the school community
