ECT (Year 2 or Year 3) – Class Teacher
Location: South Croydon
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Permanent, Full‑time
The Role
This school are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to take a Year 2 or Year 3 class. The year group will be determined based on your strengths and preferences. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the national curriculum
* Monitoring pupil progress and using data to set and review targets
* Creating an inclusive classroom that promotes independence, respect, and a love of learning
* Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
* Liaising with parents, carers, and colleagues to support each pupil’s progress
* Participating in staff meetings, ECT induction, training sessions, and whole‑school events
What We Look For
You will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and ECT status (either about to start or recently completed induction)
* Experience or training in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, preferably in Year 2 or Year 3
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective, current teaching practice
* Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
* A professional and reflective attitude, committed to ongoing development
* The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
