Job Description:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum, with a focus on literacy, numeracy, and topic-based learning
Support pupils’ academic and emotional development through creative, differentiated, and inclusive teaching strategies
Create a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and resilience
Use formative and summative assessment to track progress and inform next steps in learning
Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues to ensure every child reaches their full potential
Contribute to the wider school community through assemblies, events, and enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2
Be a reflective and adaptable practitioner with strong behaviour management and planning skills
Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive education, safeguarding, and child-centred learning
Possess excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
Be passionate about early years pedagogy, team collaboration, and continuous professional development
