Year 2 Teacher - ASAP Start - Islington - Paid to Scale (MPS2–MPS 5) - Full Time - Long-Term

A welcoming primary school in Islington is looking for a Year 2 Teacher to join their team from January 2026.
This is a full-time, long-term role with pay in line with the Main Pay Scale (MPS 2–MPS 5).
Year 2 Teacher – About the Role
The school is seeking an experienced Key Stage 1 teacher who can take full responsibility for a Year 2 class. The role involves planning and delivering lessons in line with the national curriculum, tracking pupil progress, and supporting children as they prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2.
Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and previous experience in Year 2 or Key Stage 1 is essential. Experience with phonics and Year 2 assessments (SATs) would be an advantage.
