About the Role:
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will take on a key role in guiding pupils through the final year of Key Stage 1, preparing them for a smooth transition into Key Stage 2. Responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
*
Preparing pupils for Key Stage 1 assessments with confidence and care
*
Creating a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that nurtures learning
*
Using assessment to identify pupil needs and inform planning
*
Working closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team to ensure progress for all pupils
*
Building strong, positive relationships with parents and carers
What We’re Looking For:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
*
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and statutory assessment at the end of KS1
*
Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
*
A creative and reflective teaching approach, focused on pupil engagement and progress
*
A commitment to inclusive practice and ongoing professional development
